David Crawford is an internationally recognized artist,
as well as a designer and teacher. As an artist, he has received numerous grants, honors, and awards from
organizations including the National Endowment for the Arts and the San Francisco Modern Museum of Art. As
a designer, Crawford has held posts at some of the most preeminent organizations in the world, including
WGBH Boston where he is currently working on projects funded by Annenberg/CPB and the National Science
Foundation. As a teacher, he has pioneered programs at both the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Pratt
Institute. He is currently a faculty member at both schools and is actively engaged in curricular development.
He studied at the Massachusetts College of Art with filmmaker Mark Lapore and video artist Julia Scher.
